| self help books, tapes, CD's to play in

| | a way to get started and keep that first

| your car or while you jog, whatever.

| | push going. It sounds laughably simple,

| You've bought them on all kinds of

| | doesn't it? Procrastination is the number
|
| subjects, relating to one or usually more
| |
| | one cause of failure! You can't succeed
|
| areas of your life that you KNOW need
| |
| | if you never start, right? The key to
|
| improvement. You're frustrated now that
| |
| | making the most of self-help information
|
| what you heard or read just doesn't seem
| |
| | is STARTING THE ACTIONS SUGGESTED AND
|
| to be happening for you. Nothing is
| |
| | FINDING OUT HOW TO KEEP IT GOING.. I
|

| | figured out after about a year of asking

| When you first heard the recommendation

| | people if they did readings and steps in
|
| from your best friend about that book on

| relationships, it sounded like such a

| | getting a "No" all the time, that I

| great idea.... You actually went to the

| | better find out what was going on. These
|

| | weren't willful or rebellious people.

| I'm big on self-help anything, which is a

| | progress going once you start.

| bit odd, considering I was a mental

| | Here's a start on what to do - Ask

| | 1. Am I clear on what area I need to work

| world would I give the people I worked

| | on? (You think it's money, maybe, but

| | family routine of constantly eating out

| was my livelihood? Cynical people won't

| | 2. Am I clear on the suggestions given to

| | bottled water, basically - that were

| living, family, career, financial,

| | almost an instant "cure" - I was amazed!)

| spiritual, mental, emotional, and

| | Another thing I found is that self-help
|
| physical health....One hour a week wasn't
| |
| | information is often too complex and
|
| going to cut it in terms of REAL help. So
| |
| | overwhelms people, so the thought of
|
| I always tried to "over-deliver" and make
| |
| | starting and committing to something that
|
| sure they walked out the door with lots
| |
| | detailed was paralyzing!
|

| | OK, one more question: If you got out

| guidance and using it.

| It turned out often that people wouldn't

| a week to talk about things, but not

| | FIXABLE. Maybe if you had more time, or

| apply what they learned to life outside

| | you could afford the needed equipment
|
| the office. They'd buy the self-help
| |
| | (someone made a couple of the items for
|
| books and other media I recommended, but
| |
| | me and I found dollar store substitutes
|
| not read or use them. Failure to do that
| |
| | for others!), maybe if you had family
|
| was almost always related to TIME. The
| |
| | support?
|
| LAST thing on their to do list?
| |
| | I challenge you that ALL YOU NEED TO DO
|
| Self-improvement. (That amazes me; I
| |
| | IS GET STARTED on self-improvement and it
|
| believe we are our own greatest
| |
| | will work for you if you work on it. You
|
| resource.) I know, I know, "Life" takes
| |
| | might need to reread or listen or watch
|
| over and everything else becomes a
| |
| | the video. Perhaps you could find a
|
| priority in front of what would really
| |
| | different author who is not so heavy on
|
| make your life better.

| happier lives!

| What was their secret? Those people did
| |
| | if you find out what to do FIRST and take
|
| something with the information I gave

| | the first step to do it. Once you start,
|
| them and what they read or listened to
| |
| | use that momentum of accomplishment to
|
| -What made the difference?

| | keep moving forward. Any path is traveled
|
| The answer - The secret ingredient I am

| talking about - that most self help

| | speed, if your steps keep moving forward,

| information is missing - is more
