SENIOR
ACHIEVEMENT AWARDS
Beginning in 2003, BCLDA offered a new
award in lieu of scholarships. Senior Achievement Awards will be
presented to senior students with a learning disability who have
demonstrated academic achievement, motivation and perseverance
while being an active participant in school and/or community
activities. School involvement may include participation in
sports, clubs, student government, band, chorus or theater or
providing help or assistance to other students. Community
activities may include employment, volunteer time, organization
activities or church related activities.
Each year BCLDA holds an annual awards program in order to honor
teachers, professionals, volunteers and deserving individuals
with learning disabilities. It is at this awards ceremony that
senior achievement recipients are presented. |
